Frequently asked questions
How fast will you finish my project?
Our typical turnaround for screen printing is 10 business days. Graphic design projects do not have a typical turnaround, as these depend greatly on the scope of your design needs. We'll discuss deadlines in the early stages of your project. And if you need a fast turnaround, let us know and we can talk expedited drop dates and potential rush fees.
Do you ship?
Of course! We can ship your items nationwide. We also offer free local delivery within Hudson County, free pick up at the shop, or delivery within the greater New Jersey/New York area with fees starting at $20.
What’s the largest size you can screen print?
Our maximum print size for garments is 15x17 inches and for flatstock, it’s 18x24 inches.
How many different colors can my design be?
On garments, we can screen print up to four colors. But with our punk rock magic, we have ways of making just four colors look like a big box of Crayolas; so if your design needs more, no problem. For flatstock, the sky’s the limit—there is no maximum of colors for screen printing on paper.
Can you screen print on sleeves? Zipper hoodies? Tiny human clothes?
Yes, yes, and yes! We offer all of the above, as well as puff printing, glow in the dark and glitter inks, and tagless garment labeling. If you have a wild idea, share it with us and we’ll see what we can do!
How the heck did you come up with your prices?
Screen printing prices are based on a bunch of factors, including the number of colors in your design, the type of garment or paper you want to print on, and whether you’re printing on light- or dark-color fabric. We’ll share an initial quote with a range of options while discussing your project and send a finalized invoice once all those details get locked in, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
I asked you for a quote a few months ago. Are those prices still valid?
As mentioned above, a lot of different things factor into our pricing. Some of them are out of our control, including the price of garments and materials. While we work with great vendors that offer some of the lowest prices out there, tariffs and the general state of the economy often lead to vendors changing their prices over time. We will lock in your quote for two weeks prior to payment. Any orders placed with us after that two-week period are subject to price changes.
I might want reprints in the future. Can you save my screens?
We love a repeat customer and can certainly save your screen(s) for easy reprinting, with a $40 deposit per screen. If a reorder is placed within 6 months, we’ll credit the deposit towards that order. However, we will only hold your screen(s) for up to 6 months, after which we’ll reclaim the screen(s) and any deposit refund is forfeited.
I just want one t-shirt printed. Can you do that?
Our minimum order for screen printing is 12 units. We offer scaled discounts for higher quantity orders—meaning the more you order, the lower your per-item price is going to be. If you need an order of less than 12 units, email us and we can talk options.
Can you burn a screen for me?
Sure! You can provide your own screen, or we can provide one for you. The price is $50 plus cost of screen, if applicable.
Can I supply my own blank garments?
This is a “yes, but.” We offer a wide variety of Punk Cat-approved brands, colors, and styles for you to choose from, at low per-item costs to make your project even simpler and smoother. But if you have garments that you want us to print on, we require a minimum 10% overage per size to account for garment inconsistencies—meaning if you want 50 t-shirts made, we need at least 55 blanks. We charge a small BYO fee, and we reserve the right to reject garments that are unsuitable for screen printing.
I want my shirts to look PERFECT. Will they?
We guarantee your shirts (and prints and totes and everything) will look badass and awesome. However, manual screen printing means it's real humans doing it by hand. Minor inconsistencies in terms of color and placement are typical (<1 inch). Additionally, monitors and screens vary greatly in color calibration; please consider this when reviewing proofs and mock ups.
